Windows 95/98 Configuration

1. Right-click on the Network Neighborhood icon.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Double-click your NIC card (it will say TCP/IP ->, the brand name, and ethernet).

   

4. Under the IP Address tab, select Obtain an IP address automatically.

   

5. Click on the DNS Configuration tab, select Disable DNS.

   

6. Click on the WINS Congiuration tab, select Disable WINS Resolution.

   

7. Click on the Gateway tab. Make sure the New Gateway and Installed Gateways sections are left blank.

   

8. Under the Bindings, Advanced, and Net BIOS tabs; do not change any settings.
9. The new settings should take affect by rebooting your computer.
10. You will then be connected to the Internet through your DSL line!

Windows 2000 Configuration

1. Right-click on the My Network Places icon.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon.
4. Click on Properties.
5. Doule click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

   

6. Select the options Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

   

7. Click OK and the new settings should take affect.
8. You will then be connected to the Internet through your DSL line!
